When the invitation says “Black Tie” it is time to pull out all the stops.Whether you are a guest at a formal wedding, attending a Gala or a charity auction,  you need to dress the part.

If the invitation say “Black Tie Optional” be assured that it is a formal affair and while you are not required to wear a tuxedo, many in attendance will be wearing one.

When the invitation simply says “Black Tie” you are required to dress formally.

“White Tie” is the highest level of formality and requires evening tails.
